Ever been frustrated trying to send a large file by attachments?  We’ve had a lot of clients and friends asking about sending large files recently, so I wanted to share an awesome program with you all.

The problem: E-mail was never designed to handle sending large attachments.  Most servers have limits on how large a file you can send.  While those limits have been increasing (Google is up to 10 Megabyte attachments,) it’s still not enough.  Even if your large file is within the allowed attachment limit, it’s still a pain to send files over a few megabytes by email - it often locks up Outlook or your web browser while the file is transferred.

A strange and sociologically meaningless online exercise just caught my attention, and I wanted to share it with all of you.  This is of course based on the game “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.”  In Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, the player is challenged to come up with an actor, then link that actor to Kevin Bacon through no more than 6 roles and movies.

As many of you loyal readers know, Computer Courage has been a strong proponent of AVG Antivirus for some time.  AVG has taken a novel approach to competing with the big guns of Norton and McAfee by offering a home version of their product absolutely free, and hoping to gain publicity and popularity amongst the paying power users and business users.

Firefox 3 Download DayMozilla, makers of our favorite browser Mozilla Firefox, are releasing the much anticipated version 3 today. And, they are doing it in style. Mozilla plans to set a worldwide download record today by having millions of people from all over the world download the version today, June 17th, 2008.

Remember that we showed you guys a sneak preview of Firefox 3’s features in this earlier article. Firefox 3 promises to give us faster speeds, easier navigation, better bookmarks, and more.

Go on over to the Spread Firefox page to get a copy of the new browser and take a tiny, tiny part in the world record breaking today.
