Ever since I pre-ordered the phone on Apple’s website, I’ve been anticipating receiving it this coming Friday.  Apple has just made nerding out about my new iPhone that much more fun though – they sent me a tracking number.

I promptly went to UPS.com where I was able to plug in the tracking number and see that my new phone was sitting in China.  Then, this morning it was off to Hong Kong.  At the end of the work day, a nerdier idea occurred to me.  I downloaded a cool little app on my iPhone called TrackerLite from the App Store. It allows you to track packages of all kinds right on your phone.

Yes, that’s right, full nerd creds to me for tracking my iPhone 3GS shipment from my iPhone.  Photo evidence is provided.
